What is he like as a dentist? He seems kind of weird and I am scared of the dentist, I just want to know what he is like.

This is a very big forum with people from all over, even outside the US. The chances of you getting a reliable opinion of one local dentist are very small.
You should check the local dental societies, or ask friends and neighbors, the Better Business Bureau, etc...
