Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dentariae Medicinae Doctoris (Doctor of Dental Medicine)
Partners of Limited Liability Corporation or
Professional Limited Liability Company
I'm trying to find a dentist but see acronyms like DMD, DDS, PLLC after the dentist's name, what do they mean?
DDS means doctor of dental surgery and PLLC means professional limited liability corp.
Reply:ANSWER: The first two are related to the medical titles, while PLLC is related to his business involvement or type of corporate designation for his practice.
Specifically,
DMD = Doctor of Medical Dentistry
DDS = Doctor of Dental Surgery
PLLC = Partners of Limited Liability Corporation
