Someone here a dental student or actual DDS? Blister on tooth question.?

I have what looks like a blister near my tooth. My tooth broke a few months ago but I have not had the money to go and get it looked at. There is something that resembles a blister. Anyway. I accidentally rubbed it with another tooth and it started bleeding? I have a gause pad on it for now to stop the bleeding. Is this a blister? Or is it just irritated from the broken part of the tooth rubbing against the gum?

Please answer ASAP. Thank you!

You have given a perfect description of an abscess that has found its way to the surface. You need to see a dentist to take care of this.
Reply:its a puss filled pocket, i fought with one for ages and finally got the tooth pulled. its called an abcess
Reply:You should definitely get that looked at- an abscess can lead to an infection that can kill you if it gets in your bloodstream.
Reply:It is probably an abcess. If the tooth broke and now this came up, you probably need a rootcanal or to extract the tooth. You need to get on some antibiotics soon.
Reply:Dr Sam and Huskymom are CORRECT!
Reply:You need to get the tooth Xrayed. A blister at the gum line could actually be an abscess. Your tooth may be infected and in need of a root canal. If you put it off too long, and you need a root canal, you are risking undergoing serious consequences. The root canal isn't painful, but the sleepless nights with a painful throbbing tooth is. Get it checked out, better to be safe than sorry. Go to a clinic, they can set up a payment plan or something for you. Good luck.
