Ok, I Really Need Some Help. An Unresolved Tooth Ache Is Driving Me Crazy...?

My DDS has done 3 of my RC's and 3 of my bf's and all have been fine. I have a cavity directly above my Dec 4 RCd tooth that is scheduled to fill soon. Last Fri my RC tooth was really sens to tap and hurt. I went to DDS and she said, maybe still infected but she can't see it, gave me antibiotics. Been on them and ok since Sat. Woke up this morning and the tooth hurt again. I thought back and realized that when it was hurting, I was flossing alot, and I stopped because of the pain on Fri. Well, lastnight I flossed it again so I realized, it is hurting again, ironically after flossing lastnight. I'm wondering if pain from above, can cause referred pain to my jaw, and because my RC is back there and still sens, if it could be a combo of the accessive flossing associated with the upper tooth tha tis causing this strange tap sensitivity. I've been in pain off and on since Oct with this. Rc in Dec, top tooth hurting since then and now this. Any ideas?

This question is unreadable. If you have a question this complicated, you should ask your dentist.
Reply:wash ur mouth with a lot of water with lots of salt
Reply:It is very common to get refereed pain with root canal.

In theory once you have had your first root canal procedure completed there is no nerve. so you don't have anymore sensation in that tooth. Unless there is still infection at the very root tips. This is from your dentist not doing a proper job on your root canal. DO NOT get this tooth filled permanently until you have no pain. I would see another dentist and get a second opinion.

Also when you have a root canal that has had a sever infection it can effect the gum tissue around it. flossing could be aggravating thee tissue causing th pain. only gently floss or do it every second night.

If you have tapping sensitivity, eg you tap it with the end of you tooth brush and it really hurts, or you drink something hot and the pain so really severe there is still infection in that tooth.

It may just be you have very fine root tips that can't get properly filed.
